Chateau la Caussade Sainte Croix du Mont 2010
Light gold. Pungent citrus and pear on the nose, with complicating notes of dried flowers and candied ginger. Nervy and minerally on entry, gaining weight and power in the middle palate and offering gently sweet nectarine and tangerine flavors. Very complex already but this is balanced to age. Finishes with a strong mineral character.
A very good wine from Chile. The nose is so consistent and consetrated. Aromas of peppers, tomato leaves, plums, berries and light herbs. The palate is following the nose with an amazing balance of the veggie and the fruity parts. Round and plenty tannins with a medium + acidity. Long veggie finish a bit harsh. It needs some time but still is a good choise for now. Any dish combining vegatables and braised beef is a must pair!
Great alternative to new Zealand sauvignon blancs
Predictable appearance, spicy nose and balanced flavors, medium body. Somewhat astringent in a nice, mild way. Delicious and subtle.

This is a crisp and clean white Bordeaux that has a lovely mouth-filling texture and pithy fruit character. As much as we adore the lean and mineraled Loire Valley take on Sauvignon Blanc, we also enjoy the rounder style unique to Bordeaux.
WE 90pts. - Winemaker Notes - Very powerful. To the palate it is refreshingly crisp, sparkling, soft and sumptuous, showing great complexity of tropical fruits with citric accents. Its high acidity and low pH contribute to the impressive overall freshness and high minerality.
Fresh, crisp and intense. Luscious floral aromas and zesty acidity combine in a delicious, refreshing wine.
