- Very good wine. Much more balanced than the huge fruit forward CA cabs I have been drinking (and enjoying) lately. A little rough and tannic around the edges, but thats because it's still young. I would definitely buy again.

- Freshness is the hallmark of this wine. The fruit is dominant, ripe and balanced with blackberry acidity. There is a possible hint of overextraction, but that is only a small failing in such a delicious wine. Wine Enthusiast 93 Points Aromas of cedar, spice box, incense, burning embers, black currants, and new wood jump from the glass of this full-bodied, structured effort. Behaving more like a Pauillac than a Margaux, it is a long, concentrated, powerful wine meant for long aging. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025. Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate 90 points

- "Rich, ripe fruit, lovely floral perfume. Sumptuous, wonderful precision, lovely purity of fruit. Concentration, length, very, very fine. 10 years +... 5 Stars" Decanter 11/07 "A sleeper of the vintage, the successful 2004 has put on considerable weight over the last year. Its dense purple color is accompanied by aromas of flowers, black cherries, cassis, licorice, and toasty oak. Medium-bodied with good underlying acidity, moderately high, sweet tannin, and a long, authoritative finish, it requires 2-4 years of bottle age, and should drink well over the following 15-16. read more...Kudos to Marie-Louise Schyler!…90-92" WA 6/06.
