What to Expect

The classic Bordeaux blends rely on either Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon for the bulk of the wine with additions of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec helping to add complexity, color, body and structure to the finished wine.

Winemakers Notes

Tasting Notes: A lovely ruby, garnet color. A nice nose that needs to be aerated to help express plum and juniper notes, and a hint of pepper accompanied by fresh raspberries. The palate is dominated first by liquorice then followed by peppery notes. Young tannins are present with a fresh finish. Serve with deli meats, poultry served in a sauce, and cheeses such as reblochon or fromage de Pyrenees.

Percentage Grape: 46% cabernet sauvignon, 18% cabernet franc, 26% merlot, 10% malbec
