Very tasty for a 1961. Hints of tobacco, smoky and a full body. Body is complex, strong tanins with a very long finish. WOW. Read more

A bit of a disappointment considering the vintage. Also suffered from being served with '59 La Mission Haut Brion, '59 Latour and '61 Mouton Rothschild. This was the least of the four, by far.

Winemaker's Notes:

Typically brackish colour of mature Graves, and traditional aroma too, warmearth, tobacco leaf and dried fruits. Kernel of deliciously sweet fruit on thepalate, acidity showing a little at the edges but still a glorious bottle, ageing gracefully. Long finish.
