User Reviews for Chateau Haut-Brion Bottle
Add your reviewA very austere start, soft and smooth, however, it built slowly to a beautiful finish. Tasted at the New York Wine Experience
Full bodied, long after taste that "echos". Has a complex texture and expandable palate.. Poultry and powerful nose, full and round with strawberry and cherry notes.. Hints of spice and "saltiness" with a finishing of marvelous desire for another gulp, not sip. To drink one of the Big Five, if I were you, I like to try another vintage. For this vintage, the finishing might be sexier shall the wine matures after 5-10 years from now. In Summary: Almost perfect, just the "finishing"

Chateau La Tour Haut Brion Pessac Leognan Full ruby-red. Inky black cherry and bitter chocolate aromas. Suave; strong acidity gives excellent flavor delineation. Bitter chocolate and black cherry are lifted by a floral element. Best on the long finish: impressive tannic structure.
The dark plum/ruby-hued 2004 Haut-Brion exhibits a noble, discrete, smoky bouquet revealing notions of plum liqueur, black currants, sweet cherries, and subtle earth. In addition to its aromatic complexity, this medium-bodied effort reveals classic e... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2004 Haut Brion 750ml

Wonderful aromas of dried flowers, currant, berries and mineral. Full-bodied, yet reserved and refined. Lovely texture, with a pure silk feel. Seamless and beautiful. Great length. Even better than from barrel. Best after 2012. 12,500 cases made. -JS Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2004 Haut Brion 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:
Berry Bros & Rudd review: Winemaker/administrator Jean Delmas considers this to be his best wine since 2000. Only 55% of the production - a blend of 61% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Cabernet Franc - has gone into the hedonistic Grand Vin. Enticing aromas of ripe, spicy plums and raisins with nuances of tobacco, minerals and vanilla entice you to take a sip. It is completely delicious, with notes of Swiss chocolate, sweet fruit, toast and cinnamon spice and fine tannins. An exceptionally pure, round and extremely polished wine.
