Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This had a decent nose with a pleasant note of candied, dried tart cherries. The taste was pretty subdued, but could detect oak and not much fruit. The finish was nothing of note.

un petit vin. dissapointing for an '03. a little too fruity and smooth for me, but there's nothing wrong with it. As I drink it in dec. 2008, I notice it still may have a long life ahead of it.

Robert Parker said of the Bordeaux 2009 vintage "it may turn out to be the finest vintage I have tasted in 32 years of covering Bordeaux." He rated it 99 points, his highest score ever, for the left bank overall where this stunning value wine comes from. An Haut-Medoc petite Chateau nestled between Paulliac and St. Estephe. This special Cuvee Arthur is an estate bottled blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot that's aged in 24% new oak barrels. It shows the intensity and fullness of this incredible vintage with a style that's up front and alluring. Don't miss this super value from the next vintage of the century.

An outstanding effort, this Mandeacute;doc is dense ruby in color along with a classic bouquet of cherries, acacia flowers, and a touch of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, with abundant fruit as well as silky tannins, it finishes with an appealing texture. On the palate there are well balanced dark red fruits and mellow tannins. Drinkable now but will evolve nicely with age. Serve with marinated strip steak and grilled vegetables.

Dense purple color; boasts a sweet nose of cassis and toasty espresso notes. On the palate, dark berry fruit, currant and tannins with a nice grip. This is a bright and balanced wine that is medium to full-bodied. Serve with grilled rib eye steak.
