Chateau Haut-Batailley Double 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

"A 5th Classified Growth from Pauillac, for years considered a good value, reliable claret but in recent years elevated to new heights of finesse underthe watchful stewardship of its owners, the Castéjà family. Abouquet of cassis, tobacco leaf and cedarwood gives way to a mature, soft fruitflavour on the palate. 2001 was a fine, elegant vintage with very precisedefinition, and all its component parts in excellent harmony." (Alun Griffiths MW, BBR Wine Director)
