Château Guibot la Fourvieille Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion 2005
Winemaker's Notes:
"Guibot La Fourvieille should appeal to those looking for great value in Bordeaux", according to Robert Parker. The Cellartracker reviews of this wine are favourable, with reviewers noting that the 2005 represents 'pure pleasure'. Straight from the bottle the wine shows a nice nose of ripe crushed berries with some floral notes. On the palate, a sensuous wine with pretty red berry fruit, a little earth and very fine and ripe tannins. It is also perfumed, owing to the Cabernet Franc in the blend. The wine is very supple, round and smooth. It is on the lighter side for a Bordeaux, but it is pretty, delicate and elegant. This is the type of solid wine that and before you know it the bottle has gone.

Their marriage has raised five children and brought the two properties together. Read less

Food Pairings for Château Guibot la Fourvieille Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion
A dense garnet color with lighter ruby hues. The nose is concentrated and smoky with cherry, menthol, plum, black fruit and violet aromas. The palate is clean with a fine acidity that plays well with the cherry, licorice and berry flavors. This wine has great balance and a very long persistent finish.
