Classic. This is what I expect from the Medoc appellation. Solid structure and fantastic balance. I first served this at about 52 degress and the Merlot was very prominent. As it warmed to room temp, the Cab Sav and Can Franc became much more prominent.

Excellent old world wine--how I envision classy French table wine tastes like. Tasting notes from Shop Wine Direct: "Usually almost equal parts Cabernet and Merlot, Greysac is the benchmark Bordeaux for many U.S. consumers. Under its ample fruit and fragrance lies the classic tannic structure that imparts both balance and great longevity. Classic complement to grilled red meats, roast or braised beef, and lamb prepared in any style. With age, it is a fine partner for ripe cheeses."

Had it for the first time last week. Wasn't expecting much, but found it to be solid and balanced. A good choice to have around for casual dinner.

From a classic Cabernet vintage, this quintessential Médoc Bordeaux is deeply colored, with pleasant aromas of plummy fruit, chocolate and earth. The tannins are firm, but balanced nicely by the wine's fleshy ripeness. This wine will age nicely for 5 to 7 years, but is drinking nicely now with a good decanting. A fine match for roast leg of lamb.

Standing on the gravel hummocks of the hamlet of By, Château Greysac has developed immensely in the last thirty years. Its wines are a faithful reflection of this great terroir - delicate, aromatic and ample, as well as elegant and complex.
