Chateau Grange Cochard Morgon Cote du Py 2010

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

Almond extract and kirsch, along with smoky black tea, penetratingly scent the Granges Cochard 2010 Morgon Cote de Py, with similar smokiness as well as fruit pit piquancy accenting a sweetly fruited and vivaciously bright palate. There is more than enough sap in the finish to override the bit of extraneous tannin in this wine’s finish, with ginger and smoked meat adding interest. Look to follow this at least through 2015.

Full, vivid ruby color. Pungent cherry and dark berries on the highly perfumed nose and in the mouth. Sappy and incisive, displaying excellent clarity and lift. The finish repeats the dark berry note and lingers with real tenacity, leaving a smoky mineral quality behind.
