Lackluster white wine. Truly Chateau Grand Traverse should stick with Riesling. That is what they are good at. Read more

Living in Michigan, I usually find most MI white to be semi-sweet or sweeter, so I was surprised to find and taste a dry Pinot Grigio from Chateau Grand Traverse wines in Traverse City. An expected slight grassy nose and a creamy, but maybe too honied taste. Nothing sensational, but quite decent...it lacks the citrusy punch of an Italian Pinot Grigio, but otherwise a nice pairing with a chicken dish. And, I'm happy to support a good Michigan wine! Retailed at $13.49
