Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste Red Bordeaux Blend Pauillac 1999

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes :Aromas of red currants, dried herbs, tobacco, and wood emerge from this medium-bodied 1999. Plum, currant, and cherry fruit, soft acidity, and light tannin suggest consumption is warranted over the next 6-7 years.

A medium-bodied red with straightforward berry and cinnamon character. Silky tannins. Falls away on the finish. Best after 2003... Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1999 Grand-Puy-Lacoste 750ml

This deep ruby/purple-colored 1999 has some tannin to resolve, but it is an elegant, medium-bodied, delicious effort that will reward readers who have the patience to cellar it for several years...the 1999 offers charming roundness, sweet cassis frui...
