Château Grand-Pontet Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion Grand Cru 2004
"Another up-and-coming St.-Emilion made by a woman, Sophie Porquet, the 2004 Grand-Pontet is unquestionably a sleeper of the vintage. It possesses...great fruit, plenty of toasty oak, and more texture, depth, power (13.7% alcohol), and length than many of its peers. Consume this pure, ripe, well-balanced St.-Emilion during its first 12-15 years of life...90-92" WA 05/05.
Interesting Cabernet with a smokey or oak after taste. Very nice.

I like the subtle aromas of crushed dark fruit and Indian spices. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a light finish. A bit short, but attractive. Best after 2008. 3,830 cases made. -JS Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2004 Grand-Pontet 750ml
