Tasted January 2008: Disappointing. Good colour but rather simple bouquet with thin berry flavours and a touch of green leaves. In the mouth some sweetness and spiceness but overall dry, washed-out and without true character or charm.

this wine is at its peak at this time (9/09), with a round and full robe and good fruit and with little evidence of tanin. All in all, lovely bordeaux characteristics, but on the light side. Drink now.

Wine Advocate ReviewRated 90+This powerful, tannic, dense blue/purple-hued St.-Emilion will handsomely repay those with patience. It offers up a tight but promising nose of smoke, meats, creosote, black currants, blueberries, and cold, wet steel. A masculine, stern effort with a certain austerity, abundant tannin, and superb depth, purity, and richness, it should be at its peak between 2015-2025.
