Chateau Fontesteau Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

2008 has brought us this fabulous Bordeaux form the heart of the Haut-Medoc. The dominant grape is of course Cabernet Sauvignon with the perfect balance of Cabernet Franc and Merlot to round off the delicious flavours. The 30 hectares of vineyards at Chateau Fontesteau are grown on a chalk based soil with gravel. The winemaker uses a combination of the most traditional methods whilst still embracing modern technology to get the best from the wine - and they certainly nailed it in this vintage.Awards :4 Stars **** - Decanter AwardSilver - International Wine & Spirit Competition2 Stars ** - Guide Hachette 2012
