This wine seems to be in the process of putting on some weight and texture. Dark ruby/purple, with a sweet nose of black cherries, currants, plums, earth, and licorice, the wine is medium-bodied, with a nice plush entry on the palate, adequate acidit... The palate of this Merlot-based red Bordeaux is full of fresh tobacco, cherry, almond and a bit of leather - yes, think untreated leather. This is firmly structured with minerals and fresh fruit on the palate. Drinking well today but will continue to develop over time.
