...Cabernet-dominated aromas of cedar, tobacco, tar and game. Then soft, plump and plummy in the middle, with a note of tobacco... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1999 Figeac 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

It confirms its stature as a classic Figeac. Dark in colour, yet starting to evolve towards red-brown. Elegant entry picked up by the still present tannins with red fruits and of subtlety present wood. Quite a long finish which confirms the overall impression; developing aromas of cocoa, spices such as cinnamon. Can be drunk today, however, would improve further if conserved another 4-5 years.
