This pure, rich, dense ruby/purple-hued 2003 offers sweet aromas of wood smoke, chocolate-covered black cherries, plums, and licorice. A beautiful Margaux made in a flashy, flamboyant style, Du Tertre will repay earlier drinking than many of the big 2005 Medocs. It exhibits a dark saturated purple color, beautiful aromas of licorice-... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Du Tertre 750ml

Deep red-ruby. Deeply pitched aromas of mocha, chocolate and minerals. Quite sweet and creamy in the mouth, with dense flavors of plum and coffee liqueur. A big, broad, thick wine, at once smoother and more vibrant than the 2004 but a bit inscrutable today. Finishes fairly tannic but with noteworthy persistence. Seemed to come into harmony as it opened in the glass.

Slightly funky with ripe fruit and toasted oak. Smoky. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a medium finish. I like this a lot still even though its a little earthy and rustic. Best after 2009. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2003 Du Tertre 6000ml
