Food Pairings for Château du Glana Red Bordeaux Blend St. Julien
Du Glana is one of the leading Cru Bourgeois properties in St Julien and has been owned by the Meffre family since 1961. The original plot was expanded several years after the purchase with vines from the renowned 3eme Cru Classe Chateau Lagrange. The vines are now an average of 21 years old. With a bottle to enjoy now and one to savour for later, this package makes an ideal present for a hard-to-buy-for relative. 2005 – the wines produced in this vintage are soft, tannic, full of rich black fruits and very well balanced. These factors combine to produce a stunning example of a Cru Bourgeois from an outstanding vintage. Drinking very well know or for another 3-5 years. 2008 – a difficult year weather wise meant the grapes were slow to mature on the vines and harvest was later than usual. This resulted in a wine that has rich red fruits, silky tannins and an opulent mouthfeel. This wine can be kept for cellaring for another 10 years. Every gift is carefully hand packed; personalised messages can be added to each parcel - a perfect present for friends, family and colleagues. Corporate discounts available, please call 020 8858 9147 for further information.
