Château du Chatelard Beaujolais Blanc Secret de Chardonnay 2007
A nice, easy, approachable chardonnay from Beaujolais. - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 3/13/10
This is a solid, classic French Chardonnay. Light on the oak, light on the butter. Almost a bit of apple wood in there. Got a poultry at a picnic nose. It's the only wine I drink that makes me truly think... "this would go great with chicken."
External Reviews for Château du Chatelard Beaujolais Blanc Secret de Chardonnay
No, your eyes aren't deceiving you: this is indeed a white Beaujolais. Chardonnay is by far in the minority when it comes to wine production in this region. This one is unoaked, ripe, and pleasantly round in texture. It has also gained incredible concentration from the impressive age of the vines. Give it a try tonight!
