Editorial Reviews for Chateau d'Esclans Cotes de Provence Whispering Angel Rose
Unspecified percentages of Grenache, Rolle, Syrah, Cinsault and Tibouren - Fairly deep on the nose with a rather fruit character that recalls peaches and melon with a light jasmine tone, Soft and mouth filling with plenty of red berry fruit, raspberries and strawberries all over the mid-palate. This is very popularly styled with a nice steely mineral tone that offers some cut on the mid-palate and really lengthens the focused finish. A touch of tannins adds some textural interest. 88pts
Watermelon and grass aroma, very floral. The dry body has light acidity, but the oiliness and kiwi fruit give it strength. Slightly tart finish. Really easy drinking and good complexity.
Whispering Angel is a beautiful whisper pink in shade and pleasant to drink. Bright and fruity with a smoky edge.
Slightly acidic a bit of spice on the nose. The body was very fruity with a bit of acidity and a touch of peach.
When we enjoyed it, the nose was light with citrus, mineral, white pepper. On the palate the wine is elegant, refined, lemon, lime, orange zest, roses with a peach finish.
ONE OF THE BEST ROSE'S, DRY AND LIGHT , RIPE AND A WONDERFUL TOUCH OF GRENACHE TO PLEASE ANY LIGHT DRINKING PREFERABLE CUSTOMER. PROVENCE IS THE PLACE FOR LOOKING OF ROSE' WINES
