Does the job, but quite disappointing. Strong on tannin.
Deep crimson color, few bubbles upon the swirl, no visible running down the glass, thin, clear consistency, slightly fruity with no overpowering tones, slightly bitter, a short aftertaste with medium tannin. Not terrible fancy. A good valued table wine with full body, not to disappoint those with reasonable expectations. Excellent with a garlic hummus spread and stood up quite well to Cabot's of VT Seriously Sharp Cheddar! Should store well and expect maturity down the road.
Not bad. But how does it stand up to Hummus & Cheese? a reasonable blended table wine at a reasonable price for the vintage year. It is now over 3 years old and is maturing well. Additional comments to follow.
