Solid, basic, medium, work-horse of a wine. You like Rhone reds? You'll like this. It's got your cherry (not too much), it's got your earth (not too much), it's got your licorice (not too much). It goes well with pasta, black bean egg noodles, flat iron steak and chocolate. I guess that means it's versatile. I paid $15 for it, would do so again, but if I could find it for $12 I'd throw a case or two in the garage.
