On opening this beaut, taking an irresistible deep sniff I get notes of black forest gateaux and cherry right from the opener. Rich in fruitiness and chocolate, but upon tasting comes across as quite subtle; quite a dry texture to the mouth, but the aftertaste is delicately pleasant. This Lingers carefully for some time. Excellent choice with beef.

Opaque purple core with a ruby rim. Pretty floral aromas over dark plum, cassis and cherry fruits with a toasted biscuit note, all accented by fresh anise. The palate is rich with cherry and orange zest flavors backed by a touch of earth underneath a... Mike Supple. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Reignac, Chateau de 750ml

A fairly complex white that's terrific with simple, grilled fatty fish or lighter pork dishes.

Possibly the finest Reignac I have ever tasted from proprietor Yves Vatelot, this superlative blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon is treated like a spoiled child, aged on its lees, and bottled unfiltered. There are over 16,000 cases of thi... Robert Parker. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Reignac 750ml

2005 is an excellent vintage possessing high acidity as well as impressive levels of weight, richness, and texture. Alex Lallos. A Bordeaux Blanc wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Reignac Blanc 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Robert Parker: As one might expect from proprietor Yves Vatelot, the 2005 Reignac is a superb effort exhibiting copious quantities of honeysuckle, citrus, lemon butter, and a touch of smoky oak. This medium-bodied, serious effort is meant to be consumed over the next 4-5 years. (Apr 2008)
