Château de Reignac Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Supérieur 2010

Member Review by Leijiro:

Medium to full body, quite smooth may be because of merlot mixture. Not strong characteristics but very good orthodox wine.

On opening this beaut, taking an irresistible deep sniff I get notes of black forest gateaux and cherry right from the opener. Rich in fruitiness and chocolate, but upon tasting comes across as quite subtle; quite a dry texture to the mouth, but the aftertaste is delicately pleasant. This Lingers carefully for some time. Excellent choice with beef.

Rich, choclatey cocoa goodness, savory, but dry attack, and a soft lingering release.

This Bordeaux needs about 1 hour or decanting, beautiful finish for such an inexpensive wine. Hidden gem, excellent for grilled lamb.

Not surprisingly, Yves Vatelot's estate produces a dry white wine that eclipses its humble appellation. The final blend of 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Semillon, and the rest Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle exhibits surprising texture, honeyed grapefruit a... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. Opaque purple core with a ruby rim. Pretty floral aromas over dark plum, cassis and cherry fruits with a toasted biscuit note, all accented by fresh anise. The palate is rich with cherry and orange zest flavors backed by a touch of earth underneath a... Mike Supple. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Reignac, Chateau de 750ml

Possibly the finest Reignac I have ever tasted from proprietor Yves Vatelot, this superlative blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon is treated like a spoiled child, aged on its lees, and bottled unfiltered. There are over 16,000 cases of thi... Robert Parker. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Reignac 750ml

A fairly complex white that's terrific with simple, grilled fatty fish or lighter pork dishes.

Château Reignac 2003, a standard bearer Bordeaux, is composed of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is the product of the expansive Chateau de Reignac winery, a 125-acres hillside vineyard with gravelly/clay soils.
