Château de Panigon Red Bordeaux Blend Médoc 2008
I bought two bottles of this wine in 2009 at a Champion Supermarket on the way back to Calais at the end of a motorcycle trip to France.I seem to remember it cost 10 Euros a bottle. It is a Cru Bourgeos Medoc that obtained a bronze medal at the 2005 Concours de Bordeaux Vins Aquitaine wine competition. We had one with Christmas lunch and I have just drunk the second bottle.I thought it an absolutely beautiful claret, tasting of fruit yet totally smooth and subtle. It is definitely a quality product. It does not tell you this on the label but my Google research has revealed that it is 45% Merlot,45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot
Robust with a bit of chocolate on the palate. Also notes of plum and a little tartness. Good with red meat.
Food Pairings for Château de Panigon Red Bordeaux Blend Médoc

This wine is from a rather successful vintage. It has aromas of cherry, plum, vanilla, and candied fruit. A pleasantly fleshy mouth with a rich, velvety texture and a harmony of ripe fruit, spice, and cherry flavors.
