Chateau de L'Escarelle's 100 hectares sit on the edge of a large wooded nature preserve in the Coteaux Varois. Its hillside vineyards are sheltered from extreme weather by the Massif de la Ste-Baume, whose fastness towers over the forested slopes. The region does benefit from the cooling influence of the Mediterranean, and harvests can sometimes stretch into November. This organic rose is a delightful sipper, full of juicy Syrah fruit and perfect with a slight chill on a hot day!
