Editorial Reviews for Château de la Roulerie Rosé d'Anjou
Delicate and with an almost vegetal floral note on the nose over spicy, astringent red berry fruit that shows a hint of juniper. A bit obviously sweet in the mouth with plenty of balancing acidity to make the orange edged red cherry and lightly plummy fruit rather attractive. The finish shows sweetness but it's balanced by a lovely vein of bitter orange/ blood orange peel that really keeps this lively. Easy to drink on it's own and a wonderful match for lightly spicy food. 88pts
User Reviews for Château de la Roulerie Rosé d'Anjou
Add your reviewThe nose was reticent with hints of cherry and sweet florals. On the palate, it showed a great balance of sweet versus tart with enough acidity to keep it juicy and clean. Flavors of rhubarb and hints of medicinal cherry formed up on the palate and gave way to lingering notes of hard candy on the finish.

New to the rose game. This one was a little to sweet for me. Maybe I had my mind set that it was going to be to sweet. Good flavor profile of strawberry and cherry and very refreshing.
Big ripe red fruit on the nose... very ripe strawberries on the palate, followed by an interesting burnt caramel finish... prolly why many call this CANDY! For me, a great apertif or sipper... beware... easy to overchill or underchill.... very small window of optimal temperature IMO.
Salty sweet caramel on the nose. Dark berry when poured. Red berry fruit with hints of darker fruit. It's pretty sweet on the palate with a fairly thick mouthfeel. Lingonberry. Candy notes. It lingers long and is more decadent than refreshing. Weak acid. Lacks balance for me. Well suited for dessert. 6/20/12
