Dark and winey, with lots of brambly blackberry, fig, tobacco and roasted apple wood notes. This has a nice gutsy feel without being overly firm or muscular. -J.M. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Chateau de la Huste 750ml

90% merlot, 10% cabernet franc from 40 year old vines with a south/southeast exposure on chalk and clay soils. Yields are 35 hls/ha and wine will age 18 months in 40% new oak. Lots of good fruit for this appellation with blackberries and raspberries. Full and silky. Fine tannins. James Suckling.
