Chateau La Dauphine is a 35 ha estate in Fronsac producing an average of 150 000 bottles.It is named in honour of Marie Josephine of Savoy,King Louis XVI's mother who once stayed there.It has a long history and was owned by the Olivier family for 300 years but they sold to Christian Moueix in 1985 who in turn sold it to Jean Halley in 2000. For visitors wanting to see traditional yet high-tech wineries in Bordeaux, Chateau la Dauphine in Fronsac is not to be missed. In 2015 the estate was sold to the Labrune family.There is a grande vin and a second wine called Delphis de la Dauphine and since 2016 a Chateau de la Dauphine Rose. Read less
