Château de Haute-Serre Malbec Blend Cahors 2004

External Review by Astor Wines & Spirits:

Of France's "country wines" no appellation produces a more robust and age-worthy red than the Southwest's Cahors. This velvety beauty is just now blossoming with black fruit, herbal and mineral flavors blending in a long, toasty finish.

Shows damson plum and raspberry flavors followed by concentrated notes of mineral and dark chocolate. The long, pure finish is fresh-tasting. Drink now through 2012.

This full-bodied red is filled with concentrated raspberry and dark cherry flavors, with alluring mint and spice notes. Elegant and rich on the finish, with dark chocolate and mocha. Drink now through 2014.
