Château de Fieuzal Red Bordeaux Blend Pessac-Léognan 2011
A bit young, this wine could age for another 3 or 4 years easily, but still ok to drink now. As tested (basically not decanted) the wine had tight nose of spice, vanilla, leather, dirt, mandarin orange. On the attack smoke, stone (mineral?), bitter leather on top of dry dark red and black fruit. Mid-palate featured stone, smoke, graphite, with drying tannins. Slightly bitter in the finish. Impressive wine worth waiting for a few more years. Make sure to decant it for a while.Add winemaker's notes

92/100 Supersnobs.nl
Dirty like a Las Vegas stripper! Tons of minerals, tobacco, sweat, cherries and a hint of mint chocolate on the nose. Plush soft fruits, cigar box (cedar) on the palate and a very quick and smooth finish. 89-90 pts.
reveals a rustic red brown ruby color and still a fairly dark hue for being 14 years old, aromas filled with dried red fruits, some funky old earth, cedar and barnyard smells with a little hint of mint. On the palate, softer red fruits, a little vegetal, beets, and a wonderful balance of tannins and acidity with not that long of a complex finish but beautiful and intriguing wine
Tasted February 2008: Expensive but superb wine with a top-notch bouquet (distinctive elder fruit and plums) and a slightly earthy, spicy taste and a delicious, dry and still oak-driven aftertaste. A classic Pessac-Léognan, ripe but not yet in decline, perfect with food. Will be good until 2012 (and possibly longer). Not for those who love blockbuster wines from a single grape variety.

The finest I have ever tasted, this is an awesome De Fieuzal, with plenty of lead pencil shavings intermixed with blueberry, black raspberry, and sweet cherries. A touch of smoke also emerges from this opaque purple-colored wine. Full-bodied, with lo... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Fieuzal, De 750ml
