Add your reviewA bit young, this wine could age for another 3 or 4 years easily, but still ok to drink now. As tested (basically not decanted) the wine had tight nose of spice, vanilla, leather, dirt, mandarin orange. On the attack smoke, stone (mineral?), bitter leather on top of dry dark red and black fruit. Mid-palate featured stone, smoke, graphite, with drying tannins. Slightly bitter in the finish. Impressive wine worth waiting for a few more years. Make sure to decant it for a while.
Deze witte wijn is gemaakt van een combinatie van Sémillion, Sauvignon Blanc en Muscadelle. De laatste druif wordt weinig verbouwd op het domein en wordt ook niet in elke jaargang verwerkt. Het is een mooie droge, verfijnde wijn die begint met een erg frisse neus. Het rijpe fruit overheerst maar is mooi in balans met de vanille en het hout. De wijn is mooi okergeel en kraakhelder in het glas. In de mond wordt de fruitsmaak versterkt en verfijnder weergegeven, dit is het moment dat de complexiteit van de wijn tot je door begint te dringen. Pas bij de lange, zoete, minerale afdronk weet je het zeker; Dit is weer zo’n fantastische, verfijnde witte wijn uit de Bordeaux! De Supersnobs zijn gek op dit spul! 92/100 Supersnobs.nl

The fieuzal wines are rich and opulent, in the wake of the great wines with ageing potential which are produced on the estate. The tannins of the very full and powerful reds quickly acquire a velvety structure, wich enhance a complex bouquet with smoked notes of black fruits and wood-land.
