Robert Parker scored the wine 92 points, calling it "a big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success." Wine Spectator and Tanzer both rated it 90 points.Chateau de Fieuzal Pessac-Leognan is bright ruby red in color with aromas of blackberry, plum, spice cake, graphite and tobacco. Medium-full in body with excellent structure and silky tannins, this Bordeaux offers rich flavors of plums, blackberries, cassis and spice. It is beautifully balanced to be enjoyed now and over the next 12-15 years. The wine is long and smooth on the finish.Enjoy Chateau de Fieuzal Pessac-Leognan with roast duck, grilled steak, ratatouille, and aged cheeses.

Château de Fieuzal has been owned and managed for more than three centuries by generations of passionate and committed winegrowers. The terroir, that unique mix of soil and microclimate, is exceptionally suited to the production of top quality wine.Originally called ô Gardères ö the estate takes its name from the original owners up until 1851, the Fieuzal family. Its vines grow on the finest gravel soil rises in the Pessac Léognan appellation. It is well drained, and not too rich.Wine growing and making methods are traditional and respect the environment. The grapes are concentrated, producing reds and whites of exceptional quality. The whites are minerally with white peach overtones and the reds opulent and fruity.
