Lovely, deep, bright golden colour. The nose is very subtle, with hints of honey, gingerbread, fresh pasta and Turkish delight. Very soft and concentrated on the palate, 1988 Château de Fargues is rich, elegant and characterful. This wine's extreme finesse singles makes it stand out in the series referred to as the "trois glorieuses" (the amazing trio of vintages: '88, '89 and '90).
