Un étonnant nez de truffe, sous bois et une belle acidité

Winemaker's Notes:

Eponymous chalky soils and a blend of Syrah (more Syrah than is usual in
Pic-St. Loup), Grenache and Mourvèdre (André Leenhardt is a great
fan and a craftsman of Mourvèdre) have created a wine rich in aroma and
ripe red and black fruit. The nose sings notes from the garrigue, with thyme,
lavender and truffle evidenced; on the palate there are rich blackberry notes
underpinned by black olives and a mineral substratum. A superbly textured wine,
oaked but not over oaked, powerful and distinctive, this will go well with
pheasant or partridge.
(Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)
