What to Expect

Grenache is the main grape in many Rhone blends and most Cotes du Rhone and Chateaunuef-du-pape. It's a grape that yields soft, lightly colored yet full wines endowed with deep notes of strawberry and raspberry. While not prone to producing particularly rich or complex wines in France, Grenache is one of the world's most widely-planted grapes, producing unique expression where ever it is planted. FOOD PAIRINGS:

Served at 14°C, it is perfect for summertime meals around the pool, with fresh salads or ribs at a barbecue on the beach. It is particularly recommended with grilled red peppers pickled with the olive oil from Campuget.

TASTING NOTES:

Its color is an intense peony pink. Its bouquet is very aromatic, exhaling scents of small red fruits such as raspberries or black currants. In the mouth, there is a perfect balance between vivacity and mellowness. The final taste is very long, leaving a delicate impression of fruitiness.

Lightly tart cherry nose - dry and light throughout. Tart cherries dominate. There's some delicate watermelon flavors and its a clean crisp wine - certainly able to pair well with picnics, quiche etc. Worked well with breaded chicken as well.
