Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. Chateau d'Aussieres is the result of very strict selection policy harvesting grapes only from the best parcels in the vineyard. A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan it is produced in limited quantities. 40% of the wine is aged in oak barrels between 12 and 16 months.Chateau d'Aussi?res is a wine of density and exceptional finesse which fully express the richness of the late-ripening and cool terroir that is perfect for producing elegant wines.
