A firm, dark ruby/purple-colored wine with notes of compost, black currants, espresso roast, and some soy, this medium to full-bodied, relatively powerful and concentrated wine shows elevated levels of tannin which have kept me from pulling the trigg... Aromas of tobacco and suede leather dominate the nose of this hearty Cabernet-based Bordeaux. Continues onto the palate with graphite and currants. Excellent with beef roasts, steak or hard, aged cow's milk cheeses. Drinks well today but will evolve for years to come.
