Château d'Anglès la Clape Classique 2009

Member Review by zufrieden:

This unrecognized "cru" from Languedoc is a steal (if you are so fortunate as to find it). The bouquet is heavily influenced by the non-Grenache components - there is coffee, wild black current, a hint of chocolate candy - and the palate is pushed by a solid tannic structure with red currant and cherry on the finish with that ubiquitous coffee. A very fine wine for the price and good for Mediterranean fare. 89 points.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
