Château Coutet (Saint-Emilion):
Traced back to 1643, Chateau Coutet is one of Bordeaux's oldest wine producing estates. In original owner, Charles Le Guerrin, was lord Coutet. In 1977, the estate was sold to Marcel Baly, who immediately undertook extensive renovations.It involved restoring and re-planting the 95 acres of walled vineyards, improving all the work process, rebuilding the cellars and the winery, and finally the restoration of the Chateau itself.
