AUD$74. This is a brilliant lush young wine that is just hitting its strides. I’ve had several gos at this vintage, and it has been interesting to try and recall how it has evolved in bottle. Pale sunflower oil-like yellow colour. Intense aromas of ripe tropical fruit, nectarine, honey and kumquats. Lovely acidity that allows the sweet sugars to progressive flush your palate. Layered flavours of nectarine, mango and pineapple persist through, there’s even a touch of orange peel on the long finish. The oak is still present but is mellowing out. Drink now – 2023+
Smooth, well balanced. Soft tannins.

Bright golden yellow. Cool pungent nose offers hints of orange marzipan sexy brown spices parsley grass and eucalpytus. Sweet thick and powerful but with its fat fruit flavors cut by strong acidity. At once densely packed and vibrant finishing with superb lingering sweetness and a mineral element. This needs patience and should evolve slowly. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
Spice dried pineapple honey and light apricot aromas like freshly crushed grapes. Full-bodied and very sweet with masses of crushed fruit character and a long finish. Best after 2010. 4 165 cases made. -JS Wine Spectator.
Pineapple and mango surrounded by sweet, puffy, toasted marshmallow. Yellow apple and pineapple fruits on the palate with a nice touch of botrytis. Very thick in the mouth with medium acidity, and dried apricots on the finish. Mike Supple. A Sauternes Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Coutet 375ml

On the nose elegant notes of cardamon and minerals blend with generous aromas of candied pineapple salted caramel and spicy soft florals. On the palate fresh tropical fruits and spring honey balance with mineral character and structure. Glossy texture with a creamy finish driven by fresh compelling acidity. Elizabeth Becker.
Intense aromas of honey, spice and candied lemons. Full-bodied, very sweet and dense, with a syrupy mouthfeel and a long finish. This is very concentrated. Almost classic quality Wine Spectator. A Sauternes Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2005 Coutet 750ml
