Chateau Cos d'Estournel:
Born in 1762 during the reign of Louis XV and died in 1853 under Napoleon III, at the remarkable age of 91, Louis Gaspard d'Estournel had one sole passion: Cos. Having inherited a few vines near the village of Cos, he recognized, in 1811, the quality of their wine and decided to vinify them separately.

A dark, yet beautifully earthy nose. A very deep brooding wine. Dark dark fruits. Medium tannins. An intense long finish. Tasted at the New York Wine Experience

Very nice, and starting to show some early signs of aging. Dark plum and cherry on the nose. Rich, supple and still youthful, with cherry, leather and tobacco dominating.

Gorgeous aromas of currants and berries with hints of licorice. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a pretty finish. Silky. This is extremely good for the vintage... Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2002 Cos d'Estournel 750ml
