Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot - Cabernet franc. A classic claret. Beautiful ruby, impressive nose (wild cherry, berries, vanilla and pomelo), fine acidity, round on the palate. Medium bodied, good finish, pleasant aftertaste with hints of plum jam and licorice.

A nose of anise, cola, red and black fruit along with some earth, but it's a fruit forward, big and fragrant nose. Red and black plum aromas also. Big fat red and black fruit dominant. Firm. Fairly well integrated tannins with balance and power. Still some big acid, so I'd personally enjoy it more within another 5 years or so. Be good with food. Anise, cola and earth underlie the red and black fruit blast. 3/3/12
