Château Clarke Red Bordeaux Blend Listrac-Médoc 2006
It's not secret that I am a big fan of this estate's wines. I think they represent very good value in the Medoc because of the estate's size, the enormous investment that's been put in, and the fact that since its a Listrac-Medoc, they can't charge an arm and a leg for their bottles! Bountiful red fruit on the nose with a touch of tobacco. Very soft in the mouth with good fruit. Elegant with some spice and moderate amounts of tannin. A fine finish on fruit - this is a red fruit-driven wine. Another very good effort from Chateau Clarke.
