Food Pairings for Château Civrac Red Bordeaux Blend Côtes de Bourg
Very good deep carmine ruby, nicely concentrated nose of crushed berry fruit, black rather than red, slight hint of tobacco leaf and a touch of greenness which continues into being a little severe on the attack, but enough fruit there to show up later; quite surprisingly high tannins, mostly oak, a firm wine that needs three years to flesh out and potentially good if it can lose the rather raw tannins.
