Château Cazal-Viel St.-Chinian 2007

Member Review by vinvinvin10:

An intense red wine, clear and unclouded, with purple and pink shimmers. Agreeable nose, filled with red fruits and warm spices such as black pepper and cloves. As for the mouth, it’s a fresh and frank attack! Supple tannins that are present nonetheless; a well rounded wine, that successfully maintains a fine balance between its generosity and its tannins. Retro-olfaction – it’s the fruit and the spices all over again! – and an ending that is fruity and generous and a persistent aroma.

Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Full of fresh ripe berry fruits. A complex character and great depth.

A modern, polished St-Chinian, this offers fragrant, floral syrah flavor laden with oak spice. It's fresh, lasting on lighter red plum tones. Serve with roast pork and fennel.

Another pleasant discovery from southern France made primarily from Syrah filled with aromas and flavors of pepper, garrigue, deep red berry, and incense. The wine is perfectly balanced and flavorful, with each sip reminding you how well it pairs with hearty red meats. The tannins are firm and integrated harmoniously into the dry tasty finish. If you like dry full-bodied reds give this one try, especially for $13.
