Red and fruity on the nose with a nice leafy Cabernet Franc edge that shows sweet herbs, pipe tobacco and some astringent soil tones. A touch sweet early on the palate, with red plummy fruit that is soft and front loaded leading to a crisp, fairly tannic finish of decent length with a red fruity finale 88pts

Classic, but dated style of a white with skin contact. It starts with a complex yeasty, lemon peel nose and just a hint of oak, which is quite attractive. However, in the mouth the dry, mineral balance and the more that moderate tannins from skin contact and the barrel just you the classic but not so appealing mouthful of ashes. It does work with food but I wish the tannin was a bit more subdued.

Beautiful pale golden yellow color. Crisp but not overly dry. Citrus notes with good acidity. Long finish. Very nice. Not too much oak. Distinctively different.

Great age - chocolate, leather. Tannins are very soft and well integrated. Great cabernet structure with decent fruit (baked prunes) still.

There is a touch of sur-maturite on the nose although the delineation is commendable and it seems to mellow in the glass, that over-ripeness diminishing. The palate is full-bodied and dominated by the tannins that seem to be fully ripe, whilst the fi... Neal Martins Wine Journal. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Carbonnieux 750ml

35% sauvignon blanc, 35% semillon. 30% new oak. Planted to gravel on top of clay soils. A loaded nose offers crushed sea shells, high-toned citrus notes, and an underlying creaminess.
