Rather aged - earthy and leathery. Some nice, but faded, fruit still. A soft finish - very earthy. Well aged. Still a decent wine, but getting rather mature.

Creamy blackcurrant fruit and cedar wood. A very long finish. This earned the tags of elegant, textbook Bordeaux, classic and . . . well, ‘utterly gorgeous’

One of my all time favourites. Full bodied, thick on tannin, black currant, blackberries, very fruity and firm on palate with a smoky flavour, balanced acidity. Definitely a strong character.

I had a bottle last night, and I was very very pleased. A great bottle of wine from a great chateau !

A chewy, solid red, with cherry, tobacco and tar character. Full-bodied, thick tannins and a medium finish. Tight wine. Score range: 89-91 Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2000 Cantenac Brown 750ml

Subtle aromas of blackberry and vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied with a solid core of silky tannins. Long and caressing. Very fresh almost tart. An estate going places. Best after 2009. 12 500 cases made. (JS) Wine Spectator.

A solid chunky structure is the hallmark of this big wine. The fruit is black full of dark tannins. Perhaps it lacks subtlety but that is replaced with great power and potential. Wine Enthusiast.

(Barrel tasting) Bright plum and raspberry character throughout. Full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a velvety, caressing finish. New name for me. One to watch.

Impressive aromas of plums and earth in this one. Medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a smoky, berry aftertaste. Best after 2005.
