Chateau Cantenac Brown 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

"Nice sappy feel, with juicy kirsch and plum flesh notes and lots of well-integrated spice on the finish. Lightens up a touch in the end, but stays focused...88-91" WA 04/12 "Made in a sexy, perfumed style, this 2011 seduces the taster with its wonderful aromatics of blue, red and black fruits, flowers, damp earth and forest floor. With excellent to outstanding concentration, fresh acidity and velvety tannins, this plush Margaux is atypically opulent/flamboyant for the vintage. Drink it over the next 12-15 years...90-93" WA 04/12

Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Earthy, smoky and compact on the nose which remains quite reticent. While very fresh in the mouth, this remains austere at the same time, showing incipient complexity and a nice elegance with fruit that is red and fresh. The tannins are ripe and the wine finishes very freshly with long, pure red currant fruit. Already showing attractive complexity this will be lovely. 91pts

BUY!

Distinguished by its width on entry the wine develops fruity with a rather magical touch on the palate. Melting and showing fine tannins on the finish. This is a wine distinguished for the quality of its aromas yet it is also decently structured. This is very hard to spit out. Jean-Marc Quarin - www.quarin.com

A forward style, with dark cassis, blackberry and black cherry notes spiked with a hint of damson plum. Long and velvety through the finish, with hints of black tea and tobacco leaf filling in. Drink now through 2018. -JM Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Le Baron de Brane 750ml

Solid and dominated by dry tannins from both wood and fruit, this wine has intense, juicy black-fruit flavors. It's open and lively, but shows a core of dense dryness. Wine Enthusiast. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2011 Brane-Cantenac 6000ml
